Highlights of Disney – Day One
As Kaleb and I wait for the start of Fatasmic at Hollywood Studios, I thought I’d share the highlights of the day.
- Kaleb’s is convinced that his favorite activity of the day is the show we are about to see. He must be able to see the future. Or, just maybe, kids his age are completely obsessed with the “now” activity.
- speaking on Luke’s behalf. His favorite activity was “any show”. He loves the shows. I can’t help wondering if he’ll like stage performance when he gets older. His favorite show was the Pixar parade. I have video of him dancing with Woody that I will post later.
- The parents’ favorite was the Rockin’ Rollercoaster with the Indiana Jones show as a close second
- Life lesson learned – don’t put your kids on rides before they’re age appropriate. Mel found this out the hard way when she took Kaleb on the Hotel of Terror ride. In her defense, Kaleb begged to go on it all day. But he regretted that decision at the first drop of the fake elevator. It would have been easier on him if we had told him “no”. The disappointment would have only lasted a little while compared to the long lasting fear of that (and maybe other) rides. He’s fine, if course. But we won’t do that again.
